Argosy incredible color scheme

I am new here but I found a really cool paint scheme that I thought a few in the Argosy section may enjoy. I don't think that anyone has posted about it on here and I haven't seen any of these picture on here so i figured i would share my find of a pretty cool Argosy in my opinion. If this has been posted please forgive me. I hope this link works. These are not my pictures so i wouldn't feel right about putting them on here but i will provide the link so everyone can see this awesome looking Argosy.

The Link: Argosy Airstream - a set on Flickr

Thanks,
Nat

Nice and the exact paint scheme I was intending to use. Then i decided on a burgundy/cream mix which I have yet to complete.
Thanks for sharing.

Never-mind the colour scheme, beautiful as it is.

I just found my sofa-bed solution in the renovation pictures. Thanks for posting.

I like the color scheme but I think I'll pass on the diamond plate.

Too bad they have no eye for attention to detail after going through all that work. You'd think they'd want things lined up straight. Measuring things square isn't hard. How difficult is it to plot out screws so that they are equal distance apart? And those gaps on the diamond plate around the front...who would leave it like that? And the two big diamond plate squares for apparently no reason around the bottom of the door just seems odd...

Nice exterior color, though...for a 50's Fender Strat. Not so much on a BeeGee's era Argosy.

To each his own, I just figured I would contribute a little to something that I thought was interesting. I do believe the exterior would look better with out the diamond plate but I was just thinking that maybe they placed it there in order to protect the paint from rocks and other things. The side pieces may simply be there in order to protect that part of the door from maybe a dog jumping up and scratching the paint off the door. It looks as though this person that took the pictures has several dogs. Just a thought....

I can't say I like the color scheme of the Argosy, but the tow truck is marvelous. Couldn't you see yourself towing an early AS with that truck?

Isn't it a bit strange that they spent all that effort, with some nice results, however, it looks like they are towing their baby sans rock guards for the panos! Bad bad bad!

I have some aluminum diamond plate waiting for a similar project, I think it looks excellent on the bumper! Thinking about beefing up my stair tread with it, too. And possibly making a better platform on the A-frame for my LP tanks. A little dp goes a long way. I don't love it as much when it's used excessively.

I have seen pictures of this mint colored Argosy before (pinterest, maybe) and I just love the color scheme. If vista view windows weren't such a pain in the proverbials, I'd wish I had them. I hear they aren't worth the trouble.

Just a thought about the stair tread: Diamond plate looks nice there, but it is slippery when wet! A friend of mine ended up breaking his leg coming out of a trailer with a diamond-plate step in the rain, which makes me appreciate the rough '70s non-skid stuff on my step.

I too like the diamond plate bumper trunk lid.

The exterior color is certainly pretty but I agree on the diamond plate I also don't care for what they did on the inside. Still it's nice to see what others are doing but no window protection scares the daylights out of me!!

Many people have called this paint scheme incredible too. Check it out at post #69 here:
