Take a look here. 74Argosy24. It looks like the original hub caps.
I don't know where you find them or even if they are still produced. Good luck!

I don't know how good you can see these, but I think they are original to our 74 Argosy

Well, we have a '78 27ft and the original wheels were painted the same color as the Argosy and they were triangle shaped (spoked). They were 15 in and were for biased tires not radials. I changed mine over but still have the original wheels. jjairstream@gmail.com

The original hubcaps were similar to Airstream hubcaps of the period, but the blue painted centers were beige on Argosy trailers. Spoke wheels had the small black center caps, with red "ARGOSY" spelled out on the cap.

Those look like hubcaps. Never mind I showed my wife and she says she wants the moons. Also if I go with the moons whjats the "preferred backgound color?...Black?
Can that be done? Don't they need hooks/springs on the rims/wheels?

Can't tell from your pic. but these moons might work on those wheels. Presume you wanted baby moons - not full moons. I have 4 of the original smooth center hubcaps in storage and looking for 1 Airstream original with the cross in the center.
Beauty rings might be a nice added touch. Enjoy ... nice looking Argosy...

I've always liked to see baby moons with beauty rings also. I think the rims should be the same color as the vehicle that they're on.

We have original hubcaps on our '76. But of all the pics I have taken of the Argosy, for some reason I never took one where you can see the hubcaps. When it is daylight tomorrow I'll go out and take a pic. They are similar to the ones posted by silverkeeper...with the emblem in the center, painted in Argosy cream that matches the trailer. We got lucky and found them on an old Argosy at Colaw's.

As far as I know mine are original. They look like Airstream caps but instead of blue have a red center.
As to the wheel color - anything you want. If I had a two tone (cream, tan) Argy with the orange stripes I would paint the wheels orange.
Here are moons with rings on my overlander. Love this look. Sorry for the bike in the way.
I've since painted the wheels green though. If you look really hard you can see that here.

Wow those are some moons. I love the bike also. DId you make that or is that a collector bike? Either way they both look great. I've seen pictures where there is a guy pulling an airstream with a bicycle, your pic kinda reminded me of that.
Ride safe, and Thank-you for the pics

You're Welcome and Thanks! I built the bike myself. It's an old frame. I hand formed some aluminum sheet and used Olympic Rivets and a shaver tool from Vintage Trailer to make them look like buck rivets. Hard to notice in the photo but Boy's bike is custom by me also. It matches mine except no tank.
yes, I was attempting to recreate that famous Airstream Marketing photo.
