previous owner put Airstream "blue" trim and painted the ARGOSY emblems front and back blue.......as he really wanted an Airstream....I"m putting it back to original....the orange trim is arriving tomorrow. Question....in 1977 were the ARGOSY emblems orange? or the same brown color as the banana wrap???
Thanks

My research indicates that the first generation Argosy (1972-1079) always had orange name badges when delivered from the factory. This was independent of the banana wrap color as well as the trim colors (1979 utilized horizontal beltline color stripes that coordinated with the interior color scheme). I hesitate to be absolutely certain about this as it was not uncommon for Argosy to make "temporary" experimental changes from time to time.

Thanks for all the help! I can see the lettering was orange. I just received new orange plastic inserts, and will be getting automotive paint mixed today to repaint the ARGOSY emblems. I really liked the factory colors, brown, light beige and orange. The blue trim the PO put on does not go with the brown and beige. I'll try to put some before and after pics up when I'm done
Well, I'm getting there! the original zipdee fabric was on the bottom I'm picking tge top the new fabric bright and cheery, the carpeting was made for this trailer. I wonder what year zipdee became the preferred awning as my 77 sovereign had a Carefree awning and this is an A&E on the Argosy
