Argosy brochure pics

A couple random shots, taken with my phone, of the brochure that was provided from the PO.

The second one of the station wagon and its right front tire basically in the water is great!

Enjoy

What great pics! I especially like the bit about why AS built the Argosy. So glad that in '75 they were intent on keeping the declasse Argosy owners in their place. I'll bet the high priests of the Wally Byam club had to double the incense in their burners when the Argosy was finally allowed in. Ahem.

If my memory for WBCCI history is correct, Argosy travel trailers, Argosy Motorhomes, and even Airstream Motorhomes weren't allowed in the WBCCI until 1991. I have often heard the story that a purchaser of a first-year Argosy Motorhome kept their 1961 Airstream Bambi and towed that behind their Argosy Motorhome so that they could attend WBCCI events . . . whether it is true or fiction, I cannot attest as I didn't join until 1995.

I agree, that second station wagon (I believe it to be a 1973 or 1974 Pontiac Grand Safari as it appears to have round rather than the rectangular headlights utilized on the 1975 Grandville family of Pontiacs) would make an excellent tow vehicle. Based on my experiences with a 1975 Pontiac Grandville Convertible, it was an excellent tow vehicle that was likely equipped with a 455 cubic inch V8 and a Turbohydramatic 400. I would still have my 1975 Grandville had it not been destroyed in the Paradise Creek Flash Flood of 1993.
