Argosy 26ft 1975

Well, here it is, our 26ft trailer. You'll notice the peeling paint off the caps. I just pulled it to my inlaws. It really was clean just two months ago. Lots of pine trees around where we keep it.

3Ms75Argosy.

Now that is a trailer. Looks like it is in pretty good shape too. Thanks for posting a pic. Working on these trailers is really addicting. You will have it cherry in no time.

The more I look at these Argosy trailers, the more I like them. I have been hearing about how hard it is to keep up the aluminum finish on a silver airstream.

Looks like a keeper! Good size, not too small not too big! Your tailight surrounds look to be in good shape, I have seen a lot of them that were broken and in pieces. Saw one just like it across town, didn't get to see the owner but it looked as if he was in the middle of a exterior strip job and interior remodel. Need to get over there and get him (or her?) with our group.

Hey Marc Is this the trailer that gave "Mini" her handle "transplant"?? Good to have pictures. MORE...MORE (inside too, please) Its tricky getting them posted sometimes (took me forever to get brave enough to try), but I am really enjoying how each of us wants to share our frustrations and joys and questions. Its fun to see each families (individuals) personalities in the different ideas they have and the thoughts and suggestions they add here.

Chas I'm after you for more pics too...I really want to see the inside of your lovely three streetside windows Texas beauty. (Its interesting to see our same trailer painted silver) I, for one, think you should enjoy the color you painted the Texas Minuet. It looks really good in the pics and I am sure you worked hard. I guess the color might make a difference in heat retention down there, but maybe the tint on the windows will offset. Do you have plans to try some camping soon? You get more of that kind of weather than many of us.

Yes, I think you should hurry on down the road and get your neighbor to join us. The more the merrier!!!

By the way, I got an e-mail from Argosy24. He is hoping to post pics here soon too. That too will be a treat, as he has the only 24' Minuet to date. Peace to you all, Leigh

Your trailer looks alot like mine. I have a 73 26ft. Got a question though, any idea what this would have cost new in 1973?
Thanks
John

price?

You know, that's a good question. It can't be that much more in 1970 dollars than what I paid for it - that's pretty good value. As an aside, when I pulled off the propane covers, I noticed that the propane tanks had the old service tags from the propane company. Guess what? - We use it at the same camping ground that the previous owner had. I think its pretty funny (and a small world) that our Kalakala is back "home."
