Anyone have a friend looking for a 22' Argosy?

Greetings all. I have been an Argosy owner for 5 years and have often read these forums for the answers I needed. Thus, many of your names are familiar and I want to thank you for sharing what you know with the greater Argosy family.

Now I'm selling the Argosy as I've taken a position overseas. I leave in just over a week so only have a tiny window available to sell. You folks know Argosy trailers and your friends know you - so perhaps I can sell this trailer quickly if any of you know of a seriously interested friend.

This Argosy is listed in the classifieds, and has had 300 views, but I wonder if there is an "Olympic lag factor" at work. I've had perhaps 8 inquires so far.

The condition of this trailer is some where between fair and good. I ranked it fair. Structurally it is good, tight, dry, floor solid, clean, etc. It's had very few road miles. Systems-wise, neither I nor the previous owner used the fresh or black water systems, heater, water heater, or 12v. The stove and frig worked fine when I was actively using the trailer. We always went to state parks and used the shower houses and bathrooms.

The trailer is located in central Illinois. I can send pictures and answer questions. I'm hoping the Argosy community can help me get this fine trailer into the hands of someone looking for a trailer to upgrade and use. It's 95% original, has not been abused, and is 35 years old. So that's where it's at. I think I have it priced fair, given its age and condition, at $2,500. I welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and referrals.

I would like to see some pictures of your Argosy. I am too far away to come look at this point.

A very nice looking trailer and a great price. My 22 is not as nice, on the outside anyway, as yours. Too bad you need to sell.

There is no ad in the Classifieds, and the person that started the thread hasn't logged in since mid-August. I hope that means it has sold.

In his thread, he said he had to go overseas in a week. Maybe he has left the country already. I hope he found a buyer.
