Another Hub Cap question

I also have three of these. I emailed Airstream for the paint codes but they cannot help me other than to tell me the blue is "Americana Blue"
I am trying to find out because I also have an unpainted cover that matches and I would like to paint it.
Other than taking it to an automotive paint store and matching with paint bombs, anyone got a suggestion? Do we think the paint from a spray bomb would stick or should it be more enamel based?

Bex
EDIT Just got another email from A/S. They cannot tell me when they were produced. Any ideas? I am thinking sometime on the 80's

If you go to a bodyshop supply store they can scan the colour and reproduce in the format you want. They will fill spray cans with acrylic or enamel. Good luck!

Any paint store can match the color for you. Those were around in throughout the 70's if not earlier. I matched the original red in an auto parts store from the touch up bottles - not absolutely exact but close enough.

Those look great!

Can't help with the paint colors, but I can contribute something about the years. The ones on my 1983 Excella have neither paint nor the embossed "emblem" in the center. They are smooth in the center:

Also, yours seem to be missing a considerable number of dents. At least compared to mine. You can fix that or course.

Ah yes, the old hit them with a hammer trick, to better pass them off as "vintage"
And I also have a single blank cap too.
