Aluminum Flu

Ha, I think my sister has probably spent more time caressing the Minny I got than I have since we got home with it, it's spotted at her house. So she's been trolling around on the 'net and has a Soveriegn project and a 77 Minny spied out.

We'll see what comes of it but it won't surprise me if we load up to go look at that Minny one day soon.

There is no cure for the disease. It can even get worse, she might buy BOTH trailers...

They are addictive, aren't they? We were looking at new Airstreams yesterday (not seriously looking to buy, but if we win the lottery...) and the salesman offered to give us a 'good trade in value' for our Argosy. I immediately thought, "Oh, we could never trade it in! We'd just end up having two. That wouldn't be bad, would it?". We've had a lot of fun fixing ours up, and the idea of getting to do that again with another trailer is very intriguing! Although a new one that didn't need a lot of work would be fun too. So many options!

Anyway, good luck to you and your sister! You're starting a wonderful adventure. Please post some pictures when you get the chance!

the addiction is really bad, trust me, I know first hand. I have bought 7 trailer now in three years and regret the two I sold even though they allowed me to buy more later. I have struggled with quitting smoking for years. Aluminitus might be just as hard to shake.

Looks like we're off to Louisville toward the end of the week sometime, 2 Minny's to look over and an AS Moho. Depending on what we find I may have one for sale before long, lol.

We made our trip to Louisville yesterday and met with a really nice guy from tincan forums who has several vintage trailers in various conditions.

The 20' Minny Sis wanted to see had sold on Friday but there's a 22' available that I liked, it needs work of course but it's in pretty fair shape.

He also had a Vagabond, a Spartan, a Silver Streak Clipper, all restorable. Incredibly (to me) he has a fairly new AS Safari that burned inside and was later used for a chicken coop. The inside needs stripped to the bones but from the outside you'd never know it, it looks great.

I know I'm forgetting 1 or 2, it was a little overwhelming, almost like a museum of vintage campers. It was a lot of fun looking and talking trailers with the owner.

I took my sister and her bf to get her new purchase, a 1962 Avion T-20, today. We pulled it about 110 mi. w/ no problems and it's a nice little vintage trailer. Looking forward to some good times.
