Hello: My 79 6.0 does not have tint; perhaps yours was an applique. I need to replace mine, but not in a hurry. You have to lift the window way up to release it from the upper hinge, then drill out the rivets holding the frames together. I would then take an old one and go to a proper shop (window replacement) to get new plastic, not acrylic. I am sure someone out there knows a lot more than I do. Good luck. Dan
