Accumulator in Argosy

I seems to have a bit of a plumbing knock when running the faucet. Has anyone installed a water accumulator in their Argosy?

Do have a pressure reducing valve in the system? It sounds like you have too much water pressure.

I installed one in my Argosy. What made the biggest noise reduction was a loupe of hose on the intake and pressure side of the pump. It allows the pump to shake and rock, without rattling the pipes. It made things much less noticeable when the pump is running.

The piping in my old Safari rattled when the pump was running regardless of the soft mounting, coiled tubing, and strategically placed rubber pads. The only fix was to remove the belly pan to expose the offending bit of plastic tubing that was causing the ruckus. This was not going to happen on my watch so I decided to live with it. Some of the time. I purchased an approximately 1 gallon size residential accumulator tank from Home Depot, installed it way up under the kitchen sink, and did away with the racket, most of the time. Worked flawlessly for 15 years. Jim
