'86 Argosy 32' for $5K?

Does this appear to be resonable?

Thanks

It depends...

There are literally hundreds of threads you can search here (use "Search" link above in blue bar and enter phrases like "used trailer value" or "trailer prices" and start reading).

Nobody else can give you a solid answer without seeing the trailer, since by the time it is 25 years old, condition trumps age and length. With sagging axles and frame, rotted sub-floor, missing appliances, mildewed fabric upholstery and curtains and some water leaks, it is worth a couple hundred $$... If all is in excellent condition, with renewed interior, all appliances present and working perfectly, electrical, Air conditioning and plumbing in perfect order, good paint and axles and frame and shell (no dents, door fits, etc) it might be worth $7K to 10K or even more....

Best immediate advice is to have someon from Forums who volunteers to examine trailers look at it, and chheck a bunch of classifieds here and elsewhere (Craigslist/eBay/rvtraderonline.com) to try and get a feel for pricing.. Best long-term advice is to AVOID underestimating the cost and time and effort to "restore" and trailer in rough shape.. What may seem like a few weekends and a few hundred $$ can easily turn into a few years and more than $10,000 in parts and supplies and materials...

John

Did you buy the trailer? I paid $4200 for mine. It had new tires, battery charger, and the dealer fixed a few other items. Other than a dent in the end cap and normal dings, it's in excellent shape. I still need to replace the rear jalousy window hardware since the gears are stripped. These big trailers seem few and far between
