Please make sure you are dealing with a unit worth keeping. The plenum of old units would break down and allow carbon monoxide to escape to the living space. I've got a '74 Argosy that is sitting in storage and I don't think I'd sleep inside with the furnace running. I'd buy new -- don't want to wake up dead y'know. Shawn,

If I were you (which of course I'm not) I would trash a 30 year old furnace for safety reasons if nothing else and invest in a new DSI (direct spark ignition) Suburban model of sufficient size to heat your entire trailer.

CanoeStream is right.......and we don't want you waking up dead (well, you really won't wake up dead, but you catch my drift ).

Plus the new DSI models don't have a pilot light to mess with, so there is never a worry of 'is the pilot on, or I can't get the pilot to light). Just set the thermostat and let the furnace do it's thing!!!!!
