Hello there! I've been following these guys remodel and saw your latest posting. Since you have an Airstream Sovereign and not an Argosy, if I were you, I would ask one of the forum members who has a 31' Sovereign to measure their dinette. If I'm not wrong, the Argosy's were just a little narrower than Airstreams (or at least the Minuets were) and this is a 24' Argosy vs. your 31' camper. The dinette could have been a little wider and longer than what we would find in an Argosy. Just something to think about.

Sorry, can't give you the dimensions because it is already torn apart and out of the camper...our Argosy is about 8ft interior width.....we have already installed the new bed in the front where the dinette was located.

More changes

Well we have gotten alot done today......put in the new cabinets, put in the new fridge and started the pantry/microwave cabinet. We ordered the counter top today and was told it should be in about 3 weeks...hopefully sooner Microwave/convection oven should be coming in the next 2 weeks, so hopefully we will be completed with the kitchen in the next 2 weeks once everything is in.

My other projects were to turn the ugly "yellow/orange" front end caps to a nice pretty gloss white & putting on one of our personal touches outside of the Arogsy

It's looking great - good job! Wow, that is one big refrigerator!
Nice personal touch on the rear window.

Thanks, beth it does look pretty big, but I think that is because it is seperated from the fridge/freezer...it is only 4.4 cubic feet....I got a really good deal on that fridge...and since the store messed up it worked out really good in my favor. I actually bought the same one in white that was marked down on clerance I saved 179.99 from the original price...well I was in my car that day and could not pick it up, so I had them hold it for me and was going to pick it up latter, well I got a call from the big box store and a customer had pulled my name off the box and took mine....well needless to say I was ticked off so they offered my money back....no thanks I wanted another at the same price....well I got to have my pic and I really wanted the black/silver in the first place but was not going to pay the extra money from the clerance price.....so long story (hopefully not tooooo long) short got the fridge I wanted in the first place, for ALOT less than sticker price.

That makes it an even better deal! The stainless/black will really make your redo stand out even more. Congrats.

Thanks, we are going with a black and stainless micro/convection oven combo also. Our camper will be trimmed with Black fabric and the new sofa will be black too. Three out of our 4 dogs are black. Trying to keep it as clean as possible too.

It seems like to us a slowly but surely method....we are only able to work on it every other weekend so it seems like we get to do alot of progress then have to wait to work on more. But we are really excited at what we have already done.....and what we still will be doing.

Thanks, we picked those up in Corbin, I love the oak front after I passed 2 coats of poly on it.....as you can see from some of the pics I have to seal some more on the other new parts that we purchased this weekend.

Are you going to use some of the overhead bins or make custom units?

Great job on the redo, and I think you are coming along at a nice clip. You'll be camping in no time.

Hi there, lotsa good workj in there so far!

What is it that you don't like about the twins? I mean, at least what's wrong that new mattresses wouldn't fix?

Aage....we just don't like the platform that they sit on....not really useful at all....we are replacing one side with RV Surplus which will be good for sleeping/using a sofa and when wanting more room able to fold up against the wall..... and are making a dinette where the other side is that will still be usable for a sleeper and storage area too. Right now our kids still do some camping with us but are getting to an age where they would rather have fun with friends on the weekends...so setting it up where they can come and have sleeping room but still having it set up for just the 2 of us.

Well, those are cute little couches, haven't seen them b4.

I'll be interested to see your new design when it's done.
