'73 20ft Argosy VIN Location

Where is the VIN on a '73 20ft Argosy? I'm going to pick one up tonight and want to verify the year & such by the VIN.

Thanks in advance

The Argosy VIN tag is most likely to be found on the front of the coach just behind the LP tanks and slightly to the streetside. The tag is about 3" square and contains all of the vehicle production data.

In the photo above, you can see the VIN tag on my Minuet just above the water fill hatch.

Good luck with your Argosy!

Kevin

my 72 has the serial number stamped on the tongue, a plate behind the LP tanks and a plate on the curb side bumper mount.

I got an Argosy!!!!!

Thanks for the inputs. Last night I picked up a '72 Argosy 20ft trailer over in Half Moon Bay to add to my stable. Basically it was too good of a deal to pass up, but part of the challenge is going to be dealing with the DMV (hence the good deal) - it is a bill of sale transaction only. Apparently this trailer sat on someone's ranch for the last 8yrs under a tree. I think with some major elbow grease and good luck it should clean up nicely. Although a bit musty and in need of a thorough scrubbing, the interior is otherwise pristine. Here are a few pics:

In case anyone bounces here from classifieds, I can provide an update on this Argosy.. The exterior cleaned up, and it is now titled and registered in Calif.. The tires and axle look good, and all the glass is also good. The front couch and side couch upholstery is tired, but the curtains look good and the appliances are all there and apparently working...
