1st trip report

We took the Argsoy on her first trip. It was a quick 1 day one that only took 50 minutes (door to site) to get there. It's called Kanaskat-Palmer. It's 11 miles easteast of Enumclaw, WA. I was surprised how nice it was (wooded, clean, on a river...etc).

The Trailer did great. The full sized beds, ceiling heights and a 'frige makes it all worthwhile.

For anyone in the Seattle area, I highly recommend Kanaskat Palmer State Park & camp ground. It's located on the Green river and can be accessed by HW 18 through Auburn or from the Maple Valley Highway.

Dan

Feels great, doesn't it . . . . nothing like the satisfaction of a successful first camping trip in your own rig. And much more comfortable than some other alternatives.

Here's to first trips

We had our first trip last weekend too...It was fabulous being out there and actually using the trailer after all the planning. A good interruption to the continuous renovation work we are doing.

Great to hear about your Washington State Park. We'll have to put it on the list. We visitited Fort Steven's State Park in Astoria, Oregon. There wasn't another Airstream around...we assumed everyone was at the rally.

I wouldn't recommend the Fort Steven's Campground due to the proximity of a "lake" that seemed to be a very successful mosquito breeding place. But overall the outing was wonderful! We've gotten soft living in the Northwest and can't put up with them like we used to in the Midwest.

Hope you enjoy a wonderful summer of more successful trips.

Congrats!

Dan,

Glad to hear your maiden voyage was successful! This site sounds like a good place for a NW forums rally. There's lots of Argy's and AS's in the NW. All you have to do is pick a date and they will come! We're with you!
BTW we'd come from Oregon!
