Hi all,
Just returned from our first long trip. 1400 miles to Ft Wayne, Ind and back. Uneventlful from the standpoint of problems. I did manage to lock up the brakes on one wheel of the camper on a very twisty and steep rd in WVA, rt 60.
Towing with just a sway bar was comfortable even in windy and mountainous conditions.
The best camp site was Babcock SP in W VA. It's near the New River Gorge Bridge which if you haven't seen it is worth the trip. Spectacular,
860 ft from the river to the road bed. 3rd Sat in Oct is 'Bridge Day'. You
may have seen video or photos of people skydiving and bungee jumping. This is the bridge. We're planning to go back not sure if I'll be doing any
bungee jumping but am starting to think about. What the heck, why not.
There are no reservations at the park but they informed us there would be plenty of spaces on Bridge Day.
Happy treveling,
Paul
It sounds like you had a great first trip. Congratulations!
Next time you are on your way to IN you will have to stop in OH. We have courtesy parking with full hookups. And we have a little Minuet-6.7m Argosy that is a work in progress.

Sounds like a fun trip. WV is beautiful and the New River Gorge spectacular. However; there is no longer bungee jumping from the bridge. You will either have to rappel or BASE jump.
