We our interested in a 91 Argosy Land Yacht and am wondering what the material is on the exterior? We have seen many of the shiny, bullet type Airstreams but this one is totally different. Are they still being made and our replacement items available? The one we looked at shows a gross weight of 8500, could this be pulled by a Ford Bronco? And can a blue book value be found for a 1991? Thanks
The square Argosy is what became the "squarestream" body style. Opinion differ as to why they stopped making them, the consensus seems to be the square, flat front caused excessive fuel consumption in the tow vehicle, sort of like dragging a brick wall behind you. IIRC, the square units were made primarily of fiberglass.
Lastly, you can try www.nada.com for book value on this model.

A full size Bronco would not make an ideal tow vehicle for any trailer, let alone a 30 plus footer. If you are really serious about travelling with a trailer I would look at a more suitable tow vehicle first.
Thanks to all of you that replied back to me. It's nice to know that I can find out any kind of information regarding our Airstream. By the way, we bought it and love it!
