1977 Minuet is mine!

Just picked her up last weekend, plan to start cleaning up the inside this weekend. Already ordering parts and toys for Scatterbug from PPL and CampingWorld! Thought I would post a few pictures of her here.

Nice!

I like the awning - is it detachable? How hard is it to set up?

Awning

The awning is a bag type awning which looks about the same age as trailer, 1977. It's a Carefree of Colorado. I checked and they still sell bag awnings, but very limited color selection. We've only put it up once and it would probably take two people to do it. My husband could reach up but I couldn't (a tad short). Once we knew what we were doing it should be much easier next time.

Alluminations

Hope to have her ready for Alluminations in August. Have to check out all the systems and give her a good cleaning. The paint is in good condition, I just hope it's not hiding something.

Balgrn, I'll probably be annoying you with all my questions.

Pattyo - while your in the acquisition mode.... consider putting rock guards on. the deep wrap windows are no longer available. And the "sunglasses provide a nice level of privacy even with the curtains open.

Rock guards

Yes, I love the way they look on yours. I will have to look at your installation guide again. I do the research and am backup member to my spouse for installation thingies.

My sister can be a bit intense about her Airstream. But I can see why!

Airstream

Congrats on your new Airstream.I remember buying all of my stuff when I got my first Airstream last year.It was like christmas at a whole new level.I still get that feeling every time I see it.(It sits at my parents property now.)After getting it we traveled quite a bit in four months time.
I am hating it now because I am working so much but in a couple of months hopefully we will go camping again. In a way I now know how all of you northerners feel when the snow is deep and you can not do anything about it.Makes me wanna just cry sometimes.

Wow

When I was young and my parents had a camp in Maine I vowed never to go there it I had a choice.

Then I married a man from Maine and vowed to never vacation here.

Now I own an Argosy Minuet and can't wait to explore the State (thank goodness for rv potties and bug spray )

I bought the rockguards from a salvage trailer. Any special notes to your installation Janet? I DO know the center section has to be modified.
