New Overlander in Town
Just picked up a '73 Overlander. Ok, it is not really a new Overlander in town. It is the ONLY Overlander in town. Seems to be the only Airstream as well.
Have any of you Overlander owners done a complete remodel? I am looking for ideas and budgets.
Thanks!

Welcome
Hi and welcome to the forums. You have definately picked the right place to get loads of ideas and information. We have a 72 Overlander. Ours was in good shape when we got it. Guess we were lucky. Are you wanting to keep it original or modernize it? Everyone will want to see pictures so you may as well get out the camera!

It is in real nice shape, the only real issue was the vent had a broken plastic cover. Rain had caused a fair amount of damage to the bath floor, not the
wood though. It was a private sale of a friend of a friend. I lucked out! New Fantastic fan and new Pergo floor and new covering on the gaucho, almost completed.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Overlanders and their owners (Overlanderers?). You can find out most everything you need here, including lots of ideas.
If you want to view a thread about a total redo of a slightly older Overlander you can check out :

Found it at a dealer up near Ottawa, on an old webpage they forgot to take down. They had advertised it for a while, then gave up and stored it. I had to give them 24hrs notice for them to go get it for me when I showed up to inspect it.
