That's right. As of September 15th, Airstream has its own official coffee. Read about it in "The Buzz" on www.airstream.com. Then go to www.silverjoes.com. The logo is really neat. I'm ordering the coffee right away. Since Coors Light already has the Silver Bullet, they can be the official beer of Airstream.

There is a link on The Buzz on the Company website to read the entire press release on the Silver Joes Coffee arrangement.

Seattle all-the-way!
Okay moosetags -- good idea, but PUH-LEASE!!!
Don't even mention Tully's or Starbuck's! Cafe Lladro is quite good. But for the supreme, superior & superlative coffee of the northwest, I would nominate Tangletown's Zoka Coffee! It will absolutely make you wonder why you were spending your time with anyone ... um, anything else. I've been enjoying a Costa Rican Santa Maria de Dota so far this late summer but am about to cycle to their Organic Sumatra Gayoland -- from a bright to an intense -- two very different experiences. Try it... Logos don't count for nuttin`!
[on edit:] uh-h-h, yes, I admit. I use a The Roasterie can (courtesy of 2air') to carry my frozen beans with me while Airstreaming -- but truly, Zoka's is non pareil! My latest purchase was a hand cranked burr grinder -- good, but tedious to use for more than one fanatic. Improves quality immensely!

Hi my name is AZstreamin I'm a coffee snob. I don't drink excessive quantities just one large sipper cup per day, but if it's not good coffee....don't pour me a cup... I'll take a diet coke or Trader Joes triple latte in a can for my fix instead.
So here you go… I buy it by the case for my office. If you can find better coffee let me know this is wonderful....can you smell it?.....ummmm fresh ground and brewed morning coffee in my Airstream… now this campin’
Here’s my secret….all the way from Costa Rica
http://www.cafebritt.com
Costa Rica Tarrazu Montecielo is my favorite.... ummm delicious.

hi moose tags....
OLD NEWS!
sorry about the shouting...
but i reported this story back in july.
with photos....read about it here. about post #60...
http://www.airforums.com/forum...gon-23910.html
this photo is with dicky holding up THE first tee shirt...
which i purchased.
notice he is wearing the official rbbci beret,
as is the silver joes fella...
click on pix for a larger view of the first airstream coffee stand
and the faux rivet merchandise for sale...
the coffee is just ok. the espresso is better.
funny thing about the rally intro....drinks were free so,
in short order members were lined up for a variety of espresso drinks...
mostly their noses wrinkled at the first sip...more milk, more sugar, more 'favoring', but they still didn't like it much.
virtually none of the wbcci folks had ever tasted espresso...and the guys didn't bring any regular coffee....for the folgers crowd...
by the 3rd day they had some regular coffee for the regular coffee drinkers...
pretty funny since they were making me shots straight up with double soy lattes as chasers....
i haven't read your links yet, so i'll throw in a few other bits first, then go read.
the beans are roasted in king co washington. apparently it took about 2 years to get the company from concept to beans...
they are actually in fort smith arkansas...not exactly the napa valley of coffee...so they contract for roasting in the northwest...playing on the coffee reputation...
cheers

hi mon! and rbcci loyal followers...
in the 'buzz' photo slide show,
in the links posted,
you will see the 'official rbcci beret' on the coffee guy...the tall one.
i couldn't get the meaty guy on his right to wear it...
they are very friendly folks and i wish them well...
expect a series of 'airstream lifestyle products'
for the younger airstream demographic...
this is only the beginning...
and as i've mentioned b4,
part of the reason they have been protecting the brand identity...
cheers

The Airstream borg will accesorize you
If the nice folks at Jackson Center marketing wander over to the local Harley-Davidson dealer they will learn all there is to know about marketing. Harley's profit line is repair, store item sales and lastly motorcycle sales. Simple logic really. More people can afford a T-shirt than a bike. Also since Harley is a "Lifestyle" people that buy into that also buy tons of Harley products. It is not a great leap for Airstream to do the same thing.

ok just kidding, my post does NOT include the 's' word...
i was just excited to brag that i beat airstream to the punch reporting their own story...
besides who would think to search for something like 'airstream coffee'
i can just see the new posts now...
'how much coffee and what grind should i use for a 59 flying cloud?'
'i just found this airstream coffee grinder on ebay...is it original?'
and so on...
cheers

Almost anything is better than Starbucks burnt tasting, all blends taste the same coffee. They've become the Walmart or Mc Donalds of coffee stores. It's amazing what throwing a lot of money at and opening a lot of stores can do for a product even when it's not very good. Sure hope these guys actually have good coffee and not just a marketing plan.

With that rasta beret it should be Jamaican Blue Mtn coffee
Nice thread, more coffee ideas/accessories to try out! I'm not sure I'll get on the Airstream coffee thing, have to taste it first. Some coffee roasters can't figure out the difference between dark roast and burnt flavor, but I can sure tell. I hope the coffee Airstream is getting helps the farmers in the areas they purchase it from, like Fair Trade and Equal Exchange and others.

Just about any vintage monocoque fits that logos image so poor 'ol Joe just may have been taken to the cleaners for NO good reason.
As a non-coffee inhaler just the quick un-scientific response here looks more like 1 Yippee vs. 7 Who Cares.
Trying to mount a lifestyle campaign for AS comparing it to Harley and expecting ANY results is like trying to compare Tropicana Lemonade with the three ten year olds on the corner selling lemonade for a single day to see if they can net enough to go to the movies.
Potential licensees should look more the way of Vintage Trailer Supply if they're hoping to see dollar signs in their cash drawer instead of their ASdreams. Clearly VTS saw the BIG picture when wrestled to the mat by the corporate bullies -- good for them!
Oooohhh look! I can get me some A**stream gloves for racing in downhill slalom. Oh boy, Nike has a shiny silver running shoe. Wow, imagine how many they could sell if they could only use that A**stream moniker on it. Yeah right -- I got your lifestyle right here OMBD and the potential audience for this one is a real sleeper. Better to concentrate on what you know and forget orange juice sales.
Potential A**stream licensees -- save your money -- because there's really little to be had. In fact there's probably very little lifestyle to be had for all the interest in all the shiny silver travel trailers ever made. Hell, bowling was a hell of a lot more popular than travel trailers ever were. Hmm... Bowling Shirts -- how many are in YOUR closet? My point exactly -- case closed...

I disagree and here's why. Current Airstream clothing is aimed at a more seasoned generation i.e. Coveralls and jacket styles from years past. T-shirts?
Marketing newer styles of shirts, hats, jackets and especially T-shirts would sell because Airstreams are cool. Non owners would buy them. Downhill gloves and shoes? I doubt it. The key would be in he marketing.

I agree with Goin Camping. It's promising to see Airstream trying to go mainstream. Airstreams are considered "cool" by non-RV people. I think that it's about time that Airstream tries to capitalize on its "American Icon" status.

I really like the links to coffee sale sites. being a confirmed lifelong coffee
afficianado I love ordering and trying different brands. I f anyone else has a suggestion, please post it. I enjoy the Kirkland's Brand form Costco as an affordable daily brew, also Gilley's from NY, but it is hard to find in whole bean.
For el cheapo stuff Eight O'Clock coffee is still fair for my taste.
I look forward to sharing some good brewed coffee as much as well brewed beers.
Question- anyone prefer a certain style coffee maker? I use either a drip combo- cappucino machine, or a french press.

hi alan and other bean seekers....
here is a link to a really fine roaster.
http://www.theroasterie.com
a 10 year new company that started in a basement
but many now consider the midwest finest roaster...
great blends and distinct styles...
info on fair trade, coffee history, brewing the perfect cup and more.
many who attended the midwest rally this year were treated
as i gave folks whole bean or ground
that was roasted and packaged just days before the rally
one interesting feature of this 'air' roaster,
they put many of their premium products in old fashion style cans
saves on waste, the can just keeps on giving and it looks cool with our air homes...
give them a try it is outstanding coffee...
and as a bonus the owner became an a/s groupie this year....
like the rest of us, he's got the bug bad...i mean good.
cheers

another reason to like theroasterie is that they offered free shipping in august & got such a happy response that you now can get free shipping for orders over $40. and if you ain't pirate wench enough to order at least 40 bucks' worth of coffee, then i dunna wanna know ye.
