When you start thinking Flo is hot, you need to need to ask yourself some important questions about your eyesight.
Compared to the gekko and the duck, Flo is hot, however.

Ditto. The USAA RV desk steers us over to Progressive. Nothing "hot" as far as I can see. But then I only see...
Now I'm really confused...

We use Progressive as well and were very impressed with the help and knowledge they provided. The goofy ads really don't do justice to the knowledge their staff has about RV's. We had lots of rather specific questions about insurance coverage, weight issues, personal excess liability, etc. and Progressive was great at getting us quickly and effiicently to very experienced people to help.

Has anyone filed any claims with Progressive concerning their Airstream? I am currently with USAA and looking for a more comprehensive policy.

I have seen several insurance ads that have Airstream trailers in them. Our local Airstream dealer even has a All State insurance trailer - white with blue lettering and logo. Seems like they ALL want the Airstream business.
Claims: I have had AARP (Hartford) and now have Good Sam. My wife was in an accident, not her fault, and my premiums went up. I switched to Good Sam (GMAC)and have had good representation. I was "T boned" and Good Sam took care of everything. Told me to have my car fixed and they would settle with the insurance company. Good Sam will also tow both the TV and the trailer.
So far I have good luck with Good Sam for my bad luck.

My experience on this is a couple years old. USAA's phone # for RV insurance is answered by a person at Progressive who staffs the "USAA desk." That being said, USAA probably sets some of the parameters -- it's the actuarial experience and administration that is farmed out.
Two years ago I was seeking a competing quote from USAA. Turned out they couldn't beat the purchase price replacement policy I set up with progressive when I bought my Safari new.

We went with Progressive when our trailer was new. For the first 5 years if you get totaled, they will replace the trailer with like kind (even if it costs more). From years 6-10 totaling the trailer will get you back your original purchase price. I hit the 6 year mark a few months back.

Isn't the original post about whether Flo is hot?
We do have Progressive though we have never met Flo. When I first saw the Flo ads, I thought she was made up to be some sort of early '60's woman and the whole thing was an exercise in silliness. I like silliness and after a while I became used to her. Insurance companies use humor or fear in their commercials to make us buy their product. Allstate uses fear, others use humor. Geico now has a bumbling CEO that the gekko plays off against—would you feel good if your insurer is run by a bumbler? Aflac tried to get rid of the duck and found they had to bring him back.
But Flo—hot is a matter of opinion. If my wife dumped me, after a long night of drinking, Flo might appear hot to me. I wonder what Flo looks like when she's not made up for the commercials? Maybe Ed's onto something—what's the real Flo like? Does she have a fan club?

Me too. Almost half the cost as the company my cars and house are with and same coverage. Progressive seems tuned into the RV and "toy" market.

Agreed Value
I called Progressive and tried to get a policy for an agreed value on my vintage '61, but was told they stopped accepting agreed values as of 10 April 2010. Finally went with Nationwide for just a little over $120.00 annually.

We bundled our Airstream coverage in with our AARP Hartford policy and found some excellent savings over our previous carrier. So far haven't found anyone who could beat the price.

We just got Progressive with the purchase of the AS. Our agent called Progressive and spent 15 minutes talking to the right people to get an answer. Per Progressive requirements we have coverage based on the bill of sale and the photos of the polished skin, upgraded interiors and such. We have the original bill of sale and many photos of the unit now set aside to verify condition, quality and contents of the older unit that books at $1,800 but, of course it cost us more to buy and will cost more to replace so we have documented per Progressive requirements.
