Thankyou for shareing Reinergirl. I hear that PBS ''history detectives'' feachered a airstream that the owner wondered if the trailer was in the Africa caravan. My neighbor said that it was interesting.

Great story and people. Even better that they're in a Airstream.

awesome....what a cool thing to make income while on the road...so cool....

I am kinda hoping that in my 50’s I can find pharmacy work remotely....that would be perfect transition to full retirement.

Great Video!

They are definitely on facebook, (Joshuaworks) and instragram, I'll see if I can find links tomorrow...I'm on vaca and the internet is not cooperating lol.

If I had been born even ten years later this would have been my dream, amazing what the internet makes possible! Maybe I'll get to do it with my future grandkids

They have a blog too. Look up 1337 Open House. I got several ideas from them. I also emailed him about his custom bunkbeds. He had them done through Timeless Trailers.

Streaminwild, I just saw the episode of History Detectives about the Airstream. Here's a link to the video, you can watch the whole segment. It is very interesting, they talk about the Airstream caravans, Wally Byam, etc. I really enjoyed it.

PBS History Detectives Airstream Episode

Here's a description of the episode: A couple in California owns a classic Airstream trailer that seems to have been part of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International, and elite adventure club. Did this particular trailer make the journey on the historic "Cape Town to Cairo Caravan" of 1959? Host Tukufu Zuberi heads to Denver and Southern California to explore one man's wanderlust at the birth of American leisure travel.

We want to do something like that with my daughter. We are going to try to home school her next year which will make traveling when we want to much easier instead of when the establishment wants you to. She is 8 and I am already in my 50's. I am not sure we will ever be without a house or home base of some sort. I like to tinker too much. I don't have a job that I can do on the road right now but I can do a lot of things so maybe I can find something. I have a little sideline business that would allow me to travel some and work on the road but it is not big enough to live off of yet. I am getting tire of working for the man.

What a rich history - cool video.
