What a shame to butcher a beautiful AS

She had them gut out the interior and put in a poll in the middle of a round mattress that was custom made. Had the exterior painted white and the inside all redone white. She took out the fireplace and stove. Installed a disco ball. And, a lot of mirrors.

It looks like a mobile cat house !

Although I did like the flat screen TV that was mounted over the front windows.

If any of you night owls are still up at 11m PST they will show it again.

The pain, Oh the Pain!

Frankly, I have never been a fan of the classic interiors, so I thought that the job they did inside was an improvement aesthetically, though certainly not practical for camping or for children...white shag carpeting, indeed!

The show itself was lame to point of near unwatchability. The only character who was even remotely interesting was the upholsterer, Buju, who from what I could see at TV resolution, did a great job. For that matter, all the craftsmanship seemed top notch (albeit in questionable taste). I sure wish I had a few of those guys to work inside my 1964 Globetrotter for a few days!

The outside, amusingly, painted white, made the trailer look like something very unlikely: a 2000 Argosy!

I've never seen that show before and never will again. They ruined that Airstream, but I was so disinterested in what they were doing that I actually fell asleep and never saw the finished product. Somehow I don't think I missed anything.

You only missed Pamela trying out the bed and stripper pole.

Shock and Awe

I caught that show while channel surfing last night. Never saw it before, probably won't again, but I couldn't turn the channel after I saw a glimpse of an Airstream. I've seen worse done too, and you've got to admit she made it her own.

After all those mods, do you think her running gear will still be balanced?

Tape? what is that? My Tivo snagged it but I deleted in immediately after it fast forwared through it.
The show was bad. What they did to an airstream was bad. It just goes to show you that you can have money and still have no class.

This show is just AWFUL!!!! These guys do mostly cosmetic stuff like painting car interiors and trim with spray cans, etc. just like the "house remodels". They could all take lessons from "real" car builders like Chip Foose and Boyd Coddington. Hot rodders who know what they're doing.
IMHO, it's just another step down the pipe of what we are becoming.
Cheers, Jeff

Pictures (oh, the horror)...

Here are some pics I found of the renovation. In looking at the details I was really appalled at the poor quality of fit and finish. It even looks as if the rock guards didn't get a much-needed second coat of white paint. Sad. I guess that's what happens when you get your AS "Whipped."

I saw that episode and I'm convinced that Pam asked for a round bed and a stripper pole, but not a stripper pole IN a reound bed. I think they messed it up and Pam was just trying to be gracious about it all. I mean really, what's the point of a pole in the middle of the bed?

The pole in the middle of the bed replaces the conventional bundling board. Not the kind of pole most plackets want in their beds! Besides there's too much silicone in that rig.

Dang,

Everything looks so new, supple, vibrant and supple.

I love looking and daydreaming about Pamela Anderson's assets, but even my old 1956 year model thinks pamela has too many long hard miles on her chassie.
