Were just having a friendly fireside chat with beer...or something stronger. Come sit with us for a while. Yes, with the raccoon ideas. We need a raccoon with a little attitude... ok a lot of attitude Markdoane. Maybe Rick the rabid raccoon to graffiti, and trash offenders, and a cute cuddly raccoon, to everyone else that exercises no trace.

Time for the BLM to bring back Johnny Horizon!

Is anyone else old enough to remember Johnny? Could someone copy and post that first image? I am not near my laptop now.

Cheers,

Peter

Johnny Horizon seems cooler in a retro sense than the Leave No Trace logo - perhaps time for an upgrade?

I think Ryan Andersen and wife would look good in prison-garb for spokespersons.

When the Founders name is the Company, and is still run by the Founder and family succession, there is an expectation that the Company and the Founders values are one and the same.

Company founders establish and live values through a personal commitment to the company and its customers. They establish the culture in the way they conduct business, treat employees, and serve the community. It is a legacy and has to be lived to be credible.

When the Founder breaches this implied covenant, by extension it is a reflection on the Company as well, as they are one and the same. The actions of the Founder are the actions of the Company, and vice-versa.

The recent transgressions by Mr. Andersen are a reflection on the Company that carries his name. He will need to re-build his own reputation to redeem the Company. Itís not an impossible task, but it will take a concentrated effort. He should probably consider retaining a PR or consulting firm that specializes in crises management.

It is obvious by the number of posts in this thread and the comments that his actions are in conflict with this forumís values and culture. Not all, but most.

I sincerely hope he can find a way forward for all concerned.

From creating the website and the carefully crafted "apology", I'm pretty confident he has hired a PR firm to work on the damage control. He or his company are deleting a lot of negative reviews of his company from various websites as soon as they are posted, especially the company Facebook page.

A sure sign of a boy who learned his lesson and is working hard to change.

He could have turned this into a very positive life changing story. Evidently, he is continuing on the license plate hide the facts path. Bad PR advice, but likely it's him.

Steamy - well stated. Thanks!

Starting to smell the toast burning. Pat

And for those of you who believe Anderson just made a forgivable mistake and that we should be more tolerant in our understanding of his transgressions.
