While looking at this "styling exercise" I have come to realize that the designer knows NOTHING about camping in an Airstream. Case in point...
A BLACK ROOF!!!
Come on... talk about a huge and unnecessary thermal load.

BTW, where's the hitch on the Mini????

Airstream's are still cool....even with a black roof.

With that fold out wall, I think it would make a great performance area for my band at A.S. events! It needs an awning over the "stage", though.

Here's another mention on Gizmag:

Where's the hitch? Good observation.
Here's a quote from, of all places, Abu Dhabi Media Company, The National, an article titled, Milan: A week in design, by Sandra Lane

"The peaceful and exquisitely beautiful Renaissance courtyard of Ca’ Grande – now part of Milan University: amid an exhibition of concept designs sponsored by Interni magazine (this year’s theme: energy), Fritz Hansen, Mini and Airstream unveiled a joint car-and-caravan project. Fresh, fun and fabulously retro-modern, but it will not be driven: as Jan Helleskov, Fritz Hansen’s head of communications, who co-ordinated his company’s design team on the project, admitted, the Airstream is simply too heavy for the Mini. One day, he hopes, a realistic lightweight version may be possible."
