It doesn't look as plush inside as I would have thought. Rather conservative, actually.

Those leather seats look pretty comfy.

But get a load of the other articles on that site: the list is at the bottom of this image...

Here's yet another fine piece of journalistic excellence from that esteemed British "news" organization: Fighter jet hits UFO | Metro.co.uk

Gives you the warm and fuzzies that the "press" is watching out for us, doesn't it?

Wait a minute, now I get the connection. American politicians' wives and (gasp!) Aliens!

Is it possible that British newpapers are worse than ours?

Didn't I see this as an episode of Dr. Who?

I agree... and actually, it looks more like something a mid-level gov't manager would travel in... maybe captain & below...

As far as the 1st Lady or senior leader, that sucker would be pimped out to the max... heck, NASA's looks better. Shoot, stock Airstreams look better. If that's the best the AF can do, I'd fire the designer.

The rest of the articles in the paper pretty much indicate the veracity of their claims...

If you read the article, it's like they are using them as makeup trailers for Travelling Important Leaders. I agree with another post: £8,000? Please send me a few of those!!

Can't wait to read the article "'Killer' Toad Survives After Being Eaten By Dog"

You might remember it was a British tabloid that first broke the headline, "Dingos Ate My Baby"!

That's the kicker, the government only paid 8,000 (roughly $16,000 in todays $$$'s), but they paid $380,000,000 US for the tow vehicle (troupe transport)!

Actually, I think that says a lot about the government these days, I think some of the past presidents would have wanted a Newell or Prevost for a transport for their wives.

Actually a C-130J Series Transport with a full electroincs pack only costs $48.5 million. A bargin considering the full funtionality of the aircraft, its mission capabilities and field service. As for the UFO's I can tell you that having spent way too many hours flying well over 45K feet there are a ton of them flying around out there. They usually like to hang around the 47 to 50K which is where we have seen most of them. They do ocasionally dip down to 3 to 5K just to get the humans excited but don't do it like they used to do in the 50's. Of course not all of the UFO's can come down that low anymore since they have upgraded their crafts the lower atmosphere is too dense and they have a tendancy to stall and if that happened there would eventually be a crash and then the White House would have to admit that there really are UFS's and Aliens. Speaking of aliens, there are a few well hidden in the military and upper goverment cabinet positions.

Nah, it's easy. I found this little red button in the upper left corner of all web pages on Macs (a tiny "X" for Windows users) that makes the whole conversation disappear.
