'Silver bullets' stream in - International rally of Airstream owners heads to Lansing; area's economy to get $5M boost

They've been streaming in for two weeks - and by June 27, they'll be an instant suburb, a shining "silver city" near Capital City Airport.
Population: more than 1,700 sleek, uniquely American traveling "silver bullets" - the Airstream trailer, as well as Airstream motor homes - and about 3,500 people.
Lansing is hosting its first Wally Byam Caravan Club International Rally, the annual gathering of Airstream aficionados from all over the United States and Canada.
And the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau is expecting a $5 million impact on the area. Businesses from restaurants to Laundromats are bracing for the rush
