From L.A. to Airstream!

From Beverly Hills to shoveling manure on a farm - CNN.com

Anybody else see this article today? I may be on the verge of losing my job as well but I am happy knowing I will always have an aluminum can of my own to call home

The wife sounds a little "unconvinced" by the COOLNESS of this life experience she's been put in.

Lemons to lemonade eh?

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

It sure is nice to have Lucy sitting out in the driveway in case the economic situation worsens. If need be, we could live in Lucy for an indefinite period. We could hide in the hills until the storm blows over.

What a great story. Odd that the head and shower are not working, but I have to say, there is a lot said in this article that is appealing.

I agree...with lemons make lemonade. Could be worse, they could have a box trailer. Being broke in style......

The wife also keeps a blog of their experiences... I saw the link when I clicked on the story again to double check for more pictures...

More interesting tales of Airstream living...

I think in reading the wife's blog, they had to refurbish some or all of it. I have had several friends ask (jokingly or not so jokingly) if they can live in one of my Airstreams, but I'm saving both for my family. With 3 dogs, 3 cats and 3 humans, I think we will need the space!

If I ever lost my house, I have one with wheels waiting for me in the driveway.....it is a comforting thought. Downsizing would have it's pitfalls, but it can be done.
