Notice how it's being towed with a 2000 pound hitch.

Uh, I don't see any weight distribution system or even a friction sway control device, just umbilical and safety chain(s). Enlighten me on where this 2000 LB hitch is at?

That's the typical rating for that flat steel hitch bar, that uses just a ball.

A hitch is still a hitch. Doesn't have to be load equalizing.

A friend had a Cadillac boat (yes, that Cadillac) that leaked. He caulked it and it still leaked. Laboriously tore out the caulk and leaked still. This was 15 years before AIR began and I can't travel back in time to steer him away from silly-cone. (not yet at least...)

Boat Leak

Those tin boats were made to leak by design!
Kind of like a "built-in vacuum". If you have to bail frequently in theory the boat should always be clean.

A set of wings would compliment the props.

Weight distribution doesn"t seem a hot topic with boaters generally . I worked my way through school in a marina hauling boats and, setting up new boats and trailers for delivery. Trailers had to be adjusted to the hull shape and distribution of weight in the boat. That was a long while ago but not much has changed except now more high end boat factories sell matched trailers.

Adjustment was never very "scientific", we'd just slide the axle assembly fore/aft to get as much weight on the hitch as possible without bottoming out the customer's TV suspension. Done. If the tongue weight had to be so light the trailer would sway, we'd tell the customer to get the rear suspension beefed up or comeback with a heavier vehicle.

I never experienced WD or sway problems setting up or towing all manner of rigs, unless the trailer was set up too tail-heavy. Boats are heavier for their size compared to travel trailers I guess.

Our marina had a Jeep CJ and a beat'r Chevy 1/2ton with simple flatbar receiver hitches. They'd send us out to pick up everything and anything with those trucks. Lemme tell you, one's towing skills develop quickly when hauling a 28 foot dual engine cabin cruiser, with a 6 cylinder Jeep CJ
