So, if there is a KOA located in a touristy area like Mesa Verde National Park but it is not a "company owned" park and it is just a franchise, the owners of the park must purchase the A/S to put in their park. Several members of the Forum have had experienced a KOA Campground and agree that some of them are inhabitable. guess you take your chances in getting into a nice KOA like we have near Mesa Verde. Even if it a chance to stay in an A/S is it worth $100+ per night to stay in one, i.e. Las Vegas etc. ??

I looks like there's some sort of cross-promotion campaign going on with airstream...There was an ad in the current Airstream Life issue...something about making fishy faces. Looked kinda silly, but will reserve opinion until more details come out...

Don't knock it 'til you try it! Last week we rented a new 25 foot Flying Cloud at the KOA Sugarloaf Key, Florida and had a blast! There are five (5) units at the KOA all brand new, all fully equipped, ready for occupancy, and rent from between $150 to $180 per night. I know not cheap rates...but you would be hard pressed to find a equally nice hotel /resort that was only 15 miles north of Key West! This is the perfect deal for someone like us that has been drooling over the dream of owning an AS...you know who we are ...we're the ones that go to all the RV Shows and linger inside the new AS models pretending to be owners! Well this time we got to pretend for three days and loved every minute. We even experienced the cause and effect of freezing up our A/C unit and tripping a breaker...who knew you could't use the hair dryer, water heater, A/C, overhead lights, stereo, etc at the same time ...always worked when I was pretending!? I recommend this experience to all you AS Dreamers out there. Did I mention that our site was 20 steps from the beach with an ocean view? For anyone interested I got lots more to share...
