Airstream on Grimm - NBC

I just looked up from my laptop to see on the bedroon television the start of NBCs new show, 'Grim'. The show begins with a 60's Airstream being towed by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm heading out to our large flat sceen telly in the front room to watch this show. Any show that has a vintage Airstream get's my attention. Bye.

Yes! Loved it!

Was wondering if we were the only forums-persons who had seen this.

Nifty old trailer and rather intriguing show.

I took a couple screenshots from Hulu at just past 4 minutes into the show. Looks to be about a '63 Globetrotter.

Neil -- let's organize a boondocking rally at Jim Rockford's trailer in Malibu. Grim comes rolling by in this daydream and can't resist an Airstream flash mob. If he can get through the tow trucks and handcuffed AIRForums members...

[FWIW - Rockford's trailer was never as serenely isolated as it appeared on the TV show. It was set up toward the water from Paradise Cove. Camera angle is everything. Click image for larger version

Rockford Files...wasn't that the name of that show? It was one of my favorites in those days but I don't recall what his trailer was as Airstream wasn't a vocabulary word in my 'collection' at the time.....the car, Firebird, was.

You're right, it wasn't an Airstream. But the location certainly was deserving of aluminum!

The Airstream on Grimm is a little like the Tardis, bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside.

Cameron, and I'll bet their studio Airstream is a 3-sided box.

Love the Tardis comparison!

Congrats Bob, you and yours are now movie stars..... Watching Grimm at the moment.... and the inside is indeed much bigger. Our Safari 23 should have all that room. but the thing was packed with some very lethal looking fly swatters lol

Trying to confuse us, Bob. The AS in the show was at least a GT and I noticed that the door opened from the left. I won't need to send her a 'suicde' door wedgey.

Yeah, a lotta stuff inside. Sometimes I believe we can have that much to store. As for the 'weapons'......I don't wanna mess with that lady.

The local news mentioned Beyonce's new music video being released soon and they showed a 2 second sneak preview and she was in a 70's Airstream. The song has something to do with a trailer park I think... I noticed the 70s era tambour roof lockers right away.

Is the GRIMM trailer an airforums member? Very cool way to showcase a vintage airstream!!

Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds.

dougsale - I found the video online. About all that was identifiable as Airstream was the tambour. There were some inside shots of women on a couch (gaucho?) that were so confined -- seemed like they could have been inside a 'stream. No outside shots though.

2vets - I suspect the Globetrotter was supplied by one of the companies that specialize in maintaining stock for Hollywood. It didn't have LP cylinders on it.
