I recently rented a new release dvd movie called "The Perfect Age of Rock & Roll". In the movie, Peter Fonda plays an old Hippie who drives a 90's rock band accross the country on Route 66 in a vintage Airstream motor home. There is also a blues jam scene with blues greats such as the late Pinetop Perkins and Hubert Sumlin. I liked the movie because I like 90's rock, blues and Airstreams.

I just want to add that The perfect age of Rock n Roll movie has some scenes with sex and drug use. It is a rock and roll movie after all. I don't want anyone to be offended.

Life is too short to be so thin-skinned.

Last Friday the Grimm series picked up again after a few Holiday reruns. The Globe Trotter made a few scenes mostly of the interior and it's strange contents. It appears the 'stage crafters' are showing it as realistic as possible. Sure got a lotta stuff in there.

We saw one of these "door-in-door" as we were leaving French Quarter RV in NOLA yesterday. A Bambi, I think.

Very, very cool.

I understand completely, wheelerimage.....things have really gone downhill in this country. It seems like in EVERY adult film I view, at least one of the participants will use profanity at some point....morally reprehensible, if you ask me.

I guess I had better watch last night's (2/10/12) episode. DW and I like 'Fringe' also so we DVR'd Grimm.

Doug doesn't like Fringe, and we don't have/do DVR, so whatever we watch, we watch! He makes concessions for me, and I for him, but there are lines in the sand on both sides.

This show makes me want to go back and read all the Grimm fairy tales again, just to refresh the context. Might just have to do that.

I remember when my kids were young, parents were cautioned about the violence in these---i.e. Grimm's fairy tales being very grim---and not necessarily suitable for young minds. They were written at a time when life, and acceptable norms for behavior and punishment, was much harsher, as I recall.

I think they were written to scare kids from going into the woods, especially at night.

Better to stay snug and warm in the Airstream,

I don't remember the Grimm books in my day....my mum would have sheltered my brother and I from them. Lynn and I never brought them up to our kids so although I had heard of the 'Brothers Grimm'. Lynn and I are enjoying the NBC series even though what first attracted me to it is the '65 Airstream Globe Trotter.
