Airstream Article in Saveur Magazine
On page 33 of the July 08 issue of Saveur magazine (a cooking & food magazine), there's an article by Bruce Littlefield (author of Airstream Living) titled "Meals on Wheels"... It's a pleasant 2-page article about how Airstreamers make use of their AS kitchens and how they cook in them... And guess what? We are mentioned in the sidebar on page 34 (the 06 Bambi)...we are one of three examples of how Airstreamers around the country use their AS kitchens and their takes on cooking in them.
How did this come to be? Bruce was referred to us by "jimandrod" (from the forums) back in April... Bruce contacted us via email while we were on a trip to the White Mountains and asked us for info about how we use our kitchen and how we cook in our AS... He was gathering material for his article. Well, because we have a tiny little galley, much of our main course cooking is done ahead of time and frozen for trips, so we don't end up doing a lot of heavy cooking in our cute little galley...we thaw, reheat and augment... And he used the info! Then, while we were in Prescott, AZ, on another trip, Saveur called us and asked if we had any pictures of our Bambi...so we had a little photo shoot right there and submitted them...our Bambi's kitchen is the center picture in the side bar! Cool! Below is the picture they used...
