Took in my offer to the dealer in Ohio. Saw the Ocean Breeze and loved the cabinets, lamp shades, cool flooring, curtains and fabric. It just reeks of fun, vacation and ambiance. Couldn't figure out how to open the new bath door flat latch, glad it wasn't an urgent visit. It isn't difficult I just didn't know what to pull, push or grab and had to ask for help. lol Did not have a Signature series unit to show but I saw some on the production line at JC almost completed. That wood trim looks like the color dark walnut with drawers and doors having long shiny bars for pulls. The speckled sand/granite looking counter laminate with matching edge is definitely attractive. The new layouts give an amazingly spacious feeling for a mere extra foot of length.

The salesman said while Airstreams are definitely nice he had a lot of other units that were better values for the money. I agreed with him that Airstreams do certainly carry a hefty price tag. He had a 2006 19' CCD Bambi on special for $31,780 or so and the 2006 Ocean Breeze 25' was on special for around $51,000 something. Both units were marked well under the list pricing.

Well I never received a post card for the free book with a visit to an Airstream Dealer and we paid $100 for ours. It sure would be nice to get another one I could give to someone!

What did you pay $100 for? An Airstream book?

Got my book today - very cool! Nice book, but of course the real price I paid was that now I'm still thinking about that 25FB!

I guess part of the deal is that they figure with the dealers so spread out that only serious 'streamers would travel to a dealership to take a look to begin with...they don't know us Airforum folk do they?

I mean, look at Carol, she drove all the way to Ohio to look at one!

Hey Gang,

I will be at the NW Arkansas RV Show in Fayetteville, AR Friday and Saturday of this week...May 4th and 5th...

So if any of you in SW MO, Eastern OK, AR or driving distance want to bring your offer for your free book by, I will be happy to send it in for you...might save you some driving time.

Look forward to seeing some of you there.

Nope Minnies Mate, I guess they don't!

I made my pilgrimage today to Middle TN Airstream with book offer in hand. Very nice folks and no pressure. Took Mom along for the ride and got her into 5 or 6 new 2007's and a Basecamp. Then she went back inside and announced to the dealership that she liked our 1960 Tradewind best. They took it with good humor.

I was dissappointed that no Signature Series was in stock, but the Ocean Breeze did have a nice feel. Of course my favorite of the bunch (2007 Classic 31' dinnete with hickory casework) had the highest sticker price on the lot. No surprise there.

That's for sure. Both Intermountain and Airstream really came through in a hurry. I got mine today.

Wish I could get to the show "NW Arkansas RV Show in Fayetteville, AR Friday and Saturday of this week...May 4th and 5th..." Colorado is a little far to drive however and Hedwig is still under restoration. Gotta stay focused.
