I got the offer in the mail also. We are going to an RV show this weekend and the nearest AS dealer will be displaying there...I don't know if they will be displaying any Airstreams because they also sell other brands as well. I wonder if I could take the form to them and ask them to sign it and fax it in for me or maybe I could mail it. Does it matter how Airstream, Inc. receives it? I received a copy of Wunderlust when we bought our Airstream and I had already ordered a copy from the factory, but I could use this copy as a door prize at a future rally.

Don't feel guility, you are doing just what they want. It will be up to the sales guy to convert your looking into a sale. It is easier than having the sales force knock on doors and ask if you would like to look at an Airstream. The add has already got a buzz going for Airstream.

BTW your statement that the trailer is just the way you want it is what I always say before I buy something new.

Yikes I hope not! Nah, the main stopping point would be that even a 16' trailer costs a bit outside my means, if you get my drift.

Another source for your name and address could be from the dealership. All the info they need is in the computer. I had some warranty work done at one dealer in CA and the problem came back. I went to the dealer in Las Vegas and he simply checked the computer and had all the information he needed.

In some bulk mailing situations you get a break for using the zip+5, so they could have run the names through a program to add those, and changed the case along the way.

Has anyone gotten the offer who does not subscribe to AS Life?
Hi, yes I got the offer yesterday, as posted earlier, and I do not subscribe to AS Life.

Just got one in the mail too. Some nice things about the sig series. I may take a gander down to the dealer. Maybe he'll be more receptive to selling me that 2006 31' Dinette?!

Either way, I'll get a Wanderlust book, so I'm out maybe $15 in gas worst case!

I have faxed in about 8 of these already for customers and they did not have to buy a trailer...one did anyway!!!

Airstream Inc. sent out about 10,000 letters.

I took the offer to the local dealer. They said it was the first they had seen. The salesman said he would take care of it. I am not sure what that means. At this point I don't have high confidence that it will get done. Oh well will be a good check of the dealers customer service which has gotten very high marks in the past.

Royce,

All it takes is a signature and fax...should not take to long to do it.

A/S sent out a fax to dealers several weeks ago telling us about it.

Received mine in the mail today and like some others wonder how my name got on the list.
I think the closest dealer to me is 1000 miles away...think I'll pass this time although I would love a copy of Wanderlust.

format

Just to clarify...

The fax has the name and address on it of the one person that the offer is good for. So if your buddy gives you his, Airstream will mail it to your buddy because that's whose name is on the paper.

At the bottom of the form are two lines. The dealership must put their name on the one line and their dealer ID number on the other. This is then faxed to Airstream, and Airstream mails the book to the guy whose name and address are at the top of the form. Should be the same as that on the envelope in which you received it in the mail.

So they ask for the dealership to fill in the two lines and fax it. No need to mail it.

I liked the Signature Series a lot. Reminded me almost of a jungle theme with the striped couches and spotted pillows. Reminded me of a tiger and a leopard. Had blonde wood in there as I recall and it looked nice.

But I liked the Ocean Breeze even more. Very "happy" inside; ;bright with pastels, a porthole window riveted into the bathroom door (very nautical) and bamboo door handles, drawer pulls, and bamboo worked into the lexan of the front overhead storage bins. Very cool!

Yep, got mine about a week ago. Only thing I can figure is they got my name/address from my buying a few things in their online store several months ago. Or maybe from Good Sam Membership? Camping World Presidents Club? My middle initial is missing on the Airstream mailing as it is with Good Sam and CW.

I wonder how many "non-Airstream" folks got the mailing.
