Very very nice

The best one yet! Hats off to David Winnick and Airstream. The Christopher Deam design is also very 'cool' but I love the warmth that this one has.

I love the attention to detail that was put into this one! I can tell from the pictures that the craftmanship is first rate. Can't wait to see one in person...

What kind of wood was used for the interior?

nice floor.

If anyone knows what product that flooring is I would love to know. I am currently shopping for shopping for something and that looks REALLY good.

We talk about a lot of this stuff in theVAP interview with David. That show will be released tonight. Usually around 10pm PST.

I think its a great interview ....of course I'm a little biased

Counting the minutes...actually listening to a past podcast now. The interviews are terrific and this one with David Winick will be very interesting. It will be a long day today!

Thanks for posting them. Love the vistaviews, certain interior parts, real windows (even in the bathroom)......all at a retail price of $61k!

Thumbs up

Great looking trailer. But at 61 large, I'm glad I didn't wait.

Beautiful!

What a fantastic design.I have thought that the bathroom vanity sink was redundant in a small trailer, and winnick has better utilized that area for a kitchen counter. Also, he has brought the audio/video feature up to current standards. The only drawback to this design is the lack of a panoramic window.I guess the idea here was for a more vintage profile. To me, it's a deal breaker.I love the big window in my little 19.It makes the trailer seem so much larger.Anyway, the lack of it in the Winnick got me over my secondguessing about waiting for this release. That and the price.

dig it!

Great looking rig, love the accents, the appliance placement, and the gaucho bed in the back. The TV setup is a hug improvement on the CCD/Safari. I would be a pain to take the sheets on and off that gaucho each day though.

I'm sure partial to the Safari/CCD's wrap around (panoramic) front window and that trailer could really be opened up with that feature IMHO.

Extremely cool design but 61K?

Nice design, Pat. I guess the small front window is in order for the '50s retro look AS is trying to replicate for their 75th Anniversary. I love the round porthole window on the doors and the Baby Moon hubcaps.

Price is too high

I will admit I love this little jobber. I even went inside a few on the line at Jackson Center. But that is priced about $25K higher than I would have guessed. Gadzooks! $61,000 for that thing? Man that's over $3K per foot. I guess I'll have to stick to my '77.

Now my grandpa has a '58 18 footer that I've been eyeing

Did the door screen guard ever make it to the Airstream Store? Has anyone found it there? I'm not having any luck.

That's what life with a little vintage trailer is like anyway, and we have a system to ours, it only takes a minute. I like the gaucho because it gives you more options. We've had days when we left the gaucho out for napping on, but most of the time we fold it up into a couch. Those who have been in the Caravel can verify it ends up feeling a lot more roomy than a new Bambi with a permanent bed, and we can fit quite a few people in for socializing (without anyone feeling like they're sitting on the bed). I think that was an excellent design choice.

As for the price - yowza! I know it's a special edition and all that, but holy cow - that's a LOT of $$$$$$!
