Is this the new 75th Anniversary Bambi? Check out the porthole in the door, whitewall tires with mooncaps?
What do you guys think?
Marc
The photo is titled "75th" and the alt data when the mouse is placed on it is "75th". Also, it was published in Airstream Life as the new 75th anniversary Bambi.
I would say those are pretty good clues.

designed by David Winick? Wood and metal interior with chrome t trim, leather? Can't remember now. Should have a great retro and quality look I can't wait to actually see the interior. When it's released he will probably post pictures at http://www.vintagetrailering.com/pro...0prototype.htm
Did anyone see the back cover of the Feb Blue Beret? This trailer looks amazing - and a real departure the most popular models rolling out of the factory these days. The Limited Edition appears to be a real throwback that once again incorporates real wood and old school fit and finish in the interior.
Anyone hear what the price on this LE will be set at? I read only 80 or 90 will be made.
Dave Winick's website did have a number of preview photos as recently as early January. Otherwise the new Winter '06 Airstream Life has a montage of pics on page 9. This has been in the works for a while and you'd think it'd come to fruition soon. A late '06 model? Or a startup for the '07 models? ... the new model year usually being publicized about June, available later that month or early July.
I think it's been said this would be a 19' trailer. The Airstream Life photos show a double bed that, like days of old, pushes back into a gaucho during the day. Who sleeps on the crack? It still has the issues of being the Bambi corner bed space, the small fridge, etc, but probably is a capable (and brag-worthy) weekender. I know at one time they said the Quicksilver Limited Edition would be limited to 50 units -- did Airstream stick to that?
If people in the Atlanta area want to see the 75th anniversary airstream there is one located at the mall of Georgia. It is located at the inside entrance of DICKS sports store. Pretty neat in person. We have looked at it a couple of times. All deck out for the surfer dude or dudett.

There are two ways to die in the desert.
One is by thirst and the other is drowning.
dealers are taking orders NOW, it's an 06....as in the 75th birthday thingy....
referred to simply as the '75th model'.......who wants one!!!!
i like the interior more than the ccds........and it would be interesting to see them do a long one........who knows since the factory is now and can now do this interior.......maybe they will be able to upgrade/retrograde my trailer.....hmmmmm.....
gryphon....i think you are referring to the quicksilver model...it is a special edition...only 50 made....and it does have a 75 anniversary badge....but this is different than the 75th model referenced here...and it is a subtlely different badge too.
the surfer dude, quicksilver model is indeed ultra cool....from the knobs to the striped floor it has special features...i saw a couple at the factory...and you're right it really is a neat model.
for folks who haven't seen it firsthand, the pics of it are here:
and it's a 16footer....pretty sure all 50 have been built?
every trailer built in 2006 has a 75th anniversary badge....which also is cool.
the david winick model is called the "custom classic trailer" and has it's own special badge...which says '75th custom' and has mr winicks name on the badge as well
i was gonna scan the back cover of the b.b. since that's where the most recent pics are......but didn't want to violate any rules.
Got my Blue Beret yesterday. I was anxious to see more photos of the Winick designed Airstream. It looks really nice. I wish the pictures were larger though. Actually I wish Airstream had the virtual tour of the interior. Hard not to like the vintage look and upgraded materials.
The fit and finish in the prototype was fantastic and I liked the way it utilized the space to the maximum with the stow away bed. Carol is right about the pricing as far as I heard and there truly will be a limited run.
There are more windows than usual as you can see in the BB and in Airstream Life. Vista Views in the rear as well as the front. All those windows make it much more open and airy. Not like the standard model that seems somewhat closed in. I did not take any pictures of it, sorry.
