At the Minneapolis RV & Camping show last weekend, the local Airstream dealer did have a gentleman on site wearing a corporate name tag. I asked some informed questions and he said they'd be putting the Winick model on the line in March with maybe the first ones off by the end of that month. The quota has been set at 75 copies.
All Quicksilver Bambi production is now closed -- sold or still in dealers' hands.
Just read the posts regarding the 75th Anniversary Model.
I'm David Winick, the designer of the unit. Thought I'd add a link to my website as Airstream has not posted anything official on their website.
Thanks a heck of a lot for all the kind words. Really appreciate it.
Thanks so much for posting the link to your site. You have done a masterful job at re-creating the vintage decor and feel in the new 19'. It is so warm and inviting....makes me want to run to my dealer and lay down my $5000 and trade in my 19CCD!! I wish I hadn't seen it!!!!

As others have stated here, you've created a true masterpiece with this trailer. i love the look of the floor and cushion fabrics. Will you post a materials list at some point?
David, Hope your going to be allowed take this thing further. Airstream desperately need your help in the interior design department. Your design is the best thing that's come out of the factory. It seems to combine the best of the old and new, and has a warmth thats lacking in the other models. Congratulations, I think that you really nailed it. Now.... I'll take one in a 30' or 34'. I just wonder if the the crew at Airstream can do justice to the build quality of the prototype
David, thats a great looking trailer. We all like it because it looks like what we are trying to do to our old trailers.
I've been looking for those round porthole windows everywhere but can only find them in England. Are they custom or can you tell us where to find them in the U.S.
Thanks, Doug
