Just got our new Airstream today!
Hello everyone!
My husband and I just bought a 1977 Sovereign today. I wish he were the type to get excited but he's not. Let me tell you, I am excited beyond belief! Have always love Airstreams and can't believe I now own one! We are both new to RVing so any helpful tips are welcome.
<----OMG, this is me right now!

I love your excitement, and remember it well when we got our first (and second) Airstream. Welcome to the forums!

Congrats! We are practically neighbors. Welcome to the Airstream community, we hope to meet you on the road someday, or perhaps at a rally?
BTW I'm hosting a women's rally in Morro Bay t the end of March if you're up to it

ASwifey,
Wow, that sure sounds like a lot of fun. I haven't towed anthing this long before. I've towed about 20 feet. I do intend to practice driving this trailer so I can go on 'girls trips' too.
Yeah, Bakersfield, you're close by! We found a lot of old receipts in our trailer and found that it was originally purchased in Bakerfield. I feel glad to know its a California trailer.
Thanks for the super warm welcome everyone!

Jessica and Kevin
congrats on the new to you Airstream.
Texas Piney Woods: The Sequel Rally is Nov. 9-11 at Mills Creek Park at Sam Rayburn. A really laidback rally and a good chance to mix and mingle with folks with all vintages of Airstreams.

Where are my manners?
Congrats to you Mrs. Mod on your AS.
Would invite you to the Texas Piney Woods Rally as well, but it's a long way from California to Texas for a three day weekend.
Enjoy your AS

Today, I wrapped up resealing the AS. Wow, what a messy job. It took about 20 hours. I'm so thankful its done. I'm going to go take a shower right now even though I know I won't really get clean.
The fridge is also out and having the cooling unit replaced. If you hadn't seen our interior before, you'd wonder where we picked up such a mess of a trailer. I didn't know Mr. Mod was doing this job just yet. Then he sends me pics of our 'undone' interior. What a mess. I almost cried. I did cuss.....a lot.
No blood will be shed as long as it's all buttoned up by Tuesday. Wednesday is 'get ready' day and then we're off to Half Moon Bay on Thursday.
