Question about switch behind couch

I have just purchased an 89 29' Excella. Behind the couch to the left of the battery master disconnect is what appears to be a 120 volt switch. I am having trouble understanding what that is for. Any help would be much appreciated.

first welcome to the forum!

the switch is mosly likely to shut the voltage converter/battery charger on and off.

there could be a couple of reasons for this, one would be to prevent overcharging of the batteries. the other could be to silence it for sleeping as some of the earlier versions of the univolt converter are quite loud.

you call them ferrets, i call them weasels.

Question about switch behind couch

john hd,

Thanks for the reply and your kind welcome. I have been doing research on rv's for a number of years and have looked at just about everything out there. I'm confident that the Airstream is a great product and well built. I look forward to learning more about mine and seeking help and advice from the forum.

Again thanks,
