87 Excella weight

Questions often are ask about the weight of Airstream Trailers. I carried my 32' Excella W/Dinette and weighted it on Saturday. With about 30 gal of fresh water and both holding tanks empty, propane tanks full. kitchen stocked. The trailer weighed 7,550. The weight max wt. for the trailer loaded is 8300 so it is well within the limit.
I also weighted my tow vehicle. 2003 Chev. 2500 HD 4 wheel drive with extended cab. This wt. surprised me. It was 6220 lbs. with equalizer hitch and a 200 lbs. driver in the cab with very little gas in the tank.

This is the base model, no options, no cargo, water etc, and empty holding tanks. Your weight may vary depending on those factors.
