I saw a listing on Craigslist recently for a 1988 23' Excella - sadly it was pulled down before I could email the owner.
Looking at the few (not so clear) pictures that were left online, it definitely wasn't a 25', and the AS weights/years chart shows that such a model did exist.
Any one here have one? I'm trying to figure out the floorplan and the scarcity of this model. It might be a nice alternative to the late-70s Safari 23' I was considering - heavier, but less work.

I was also interested in the 23ft Excella. It was sold in short order. I talked to the seller about the floorplan. She told me that it had one gaucho in the front and another one streetside. The curbside kitchen had a cooktop(no oven). Another interesting aspect of this model was the relatively large rear bath. Sounds like a nice open floor plan. I have only seen one other 23ft. Excella on the market. Good luck in finding your coach.
Juergen, thanks for the info. It did seem to sell quick. After posting, I found pics of an 87 Sovereign 23' on that respective forum - interestingly, that trailer has a streetside dinette and a front gaucho.
I'm leaning towards the (comparatively speaking) much more common 25' center bath models, but the 23's are a lot lighter...don't think I'd turn one down if it miraculously popped up locally. The spousal unit isn't fond of the corner beds in the 21's....
The rarest EXCELLA. I have complete photos. If anyone wants to see this Airstream, just ask, and I will post more photos to the forum. This was a fun camper!
