Just purchased an airstream!!!!

Just purchased our first 1979 31 Airstream Excella 500 and matching van. I'm not sure what to expect and hope we made the right choice. We plan on taking a trip from the east to the west coast this summer. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how this forum works so I can find out how to make the most out of our Airstream.

Congrats

Let us know when you will be coming out and if you want help with itinerary or places to stay on the west coast. 31' will give some nice room to lounge, we have a 34' MoHo and love it

Another California Howdy! Welcome to the forums - there IS a lot to learn, but just browse around and explore, you'll get the hang of it. There is lots of advice and opinion here, most of it good!
Nice to have you here,

Welcome, and if you cruise down old Route 66 let me know, I live right on it in Oklahoma. I think I have the room for a 31 footer if you have the skill to park it. Be sure to check out your running gear before you take that long trip. Bearings, axels, tires, shocks........Those are the important things that can cause serious damage to you and the AS. Most everything else you can live with for a while. Oh yes, the hitch will be an important safety item also. Get what you need, don't skimp.

Welcome to the Forum - and stick to the blue highways! Sounds like a great trip planned (or planning - that's half the fun). There is a huge amount of experience on this forum - we traveled this fall out west to Death Valley and we received a HUGE amount of good tips here! Ask and yo will be rewarded.
