Quick update!

Work has been non existent over the last 2 months, the house has demanded my $$$ and attention.Plus ive gotten lazy again in the summer months.

Need to move to a colder climate, the humidity is like death here. ive got a portable AC on wheels running in dehumidify mode but man my electric bill now $$$

too many air leaks with the floor being un-insulated and im missing a window at the moment. (plastic covered)

Yes, definitely hard to stay motivated in the summer months, especially if you have to spend ANY time on the roof, which can be like the surface of the sun. Keep up the good work; we're all rooting for you here.

I'm sure it's cooled off by now, so what's new?

New truck!

Got some estimates for the replacement of the A frame coupler and should have it done in the next 2 weeks!

No excuses just updates!

This was done in spring 2018 and was done on my property in one day. Hired out to a local welder and I painted with pro-15.

He added what looks like a 1/8 steel plate to both sides for strength. As well as replacing the coupler.

Wheel well & water pump box

I needed something to replace the old wheel well & water pump compartment. I didn’t take pictures while building it sorry.

I’m planning to put a closet rod on the street side above the wheel well so I initially didn’t think the box would need to support someone sitting on it.
I built it with 2x1s and spare 1/2in wood boards. Well after it’s built its plainly obvious how useful it will be if it can be used as seating not just some box on the floor that can’t support a lot of weight.

Sooo instead of ripping it out and starting over I reinforced what was there. I added 3/4 plywood on the door and some walls. Coated everything inside and out with clear resin and added 2x6s as well to ensure no sagging or warping on the top. Primed and coated the top side white.

Still need to add hinges or a handle for the door but so far its working out.

Range fan

Wired up the the original range fan and it’s still running strong! So what the hell, found this cool on/off switch on amazon and ordered it. It’s push/pull switch style that Ive seen in used in vintage cars. Mounting options were limited so I expoyed a metal plate to it so i could mount it anywhere. Ive got it mounted on the ceiling right above the range. Screwed into the 2x4 that someone put up there to support the ceiling vent & fan.
