When I needed to get my 40# worthington tanks for a trip I was taking a couple years ago ,Steve went the EXTRA mile to get them to me quickly ,as I was able to get the dollars scraped together ,just before the trip . My lovlely vision of beauty (my wife) just bought some trailer fabric on wed. or thursday ,got it saturday!! She will make me a nice button down shirt for me ,they are very proffesionlly done. Vintage trailer supply is very good!!
Hands down, no one understands and does things the way Steve does. He really cares about what he's doing and takes care of people. We have a place in California that sells what you need for vintage trailers, but the service and attitude have driven a lot of us eastward to VTS. Steve is a quality guy and anyone who has dealt with others in the business sees the difference right away.
The other nice thing is that he improves on what is out there- the replacements that he works up are usually better quality, and being that we're dealing with sometimes 50 year old technology- parts like his skylight hatch replacement are much better- a total improvment and likely to last as long as the trailer.
Keeping a company like VTS in business is a goal we should hope all his clients realize- without people like him- to serve these "cottage industries" that are small and usually bullied by people who act like we should be glad they exist- we are fair game for less honorable business owners and have to settle for products and service that lack integrity and general kindness.
Hello All.. We did some ordering from there when we were in Fla for the winter. What we wanted was out of stock and Steve didn't think he would have it before we left to come back to Canada... He called to let us know that he was able to get it and make sure we would have it delivered before we came home.. Great service.. he will have our business always.. That personal touch goes allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllong way .... Annie
I called and asked about a few thing. Most of the thing he didnt even have yet.I hadn't really ordered anything online before and was a little worried about doing it.He was real cool about the hole thing. And didnt push other stuff down my throat when i was getting prices for another.
He even check my order and made sure that i was getting a good shipping rate.Since it was my 1st time and of course i wasnt and he change it to save me some more money......Thats what i call services......
I called Steve not knowing at all what I needed for the windows on my 1962 Globe trotter, he spent at least 20 minutes on the phone explaining what I needed and how it all worked. Well I got the parts in and everything fit just perfect. What a great job!
As a fellow vendor, I have purchased items from Steve in the past for my personal Airstream and agree he is doing a great job. Customer service is what keeps us alive with cut-throat competition. The power of the internet is phenomenal and if your customer service or way of dealing with people isn't first class, you can hang it up. I don't know him but you have to give credit when it is do. Good job Steve!
When I was in the Persian Gulf in April I went to the Vintage Trailer Supply page and looked at the awnings for my Caravel. With the Disney vacation soon after my return I went ahead and ordered one. I called and checked on the progress with one week to go before I left Oman, to my sadness it was not done but with a promise "to see what I could do". Well it made it in time and made our trip very enjoyable as we spent lots of time under our bright new awning. Thank You for the extra effort, I'll be back!!!!!!!
