It has an integral magnet in the base (that's what's holding it onto the van), but also has 2 screw holes that allow for more permanant mounting.

The camera mounts to your TV (or anythng else that's ferrous metal) with the magnet that's in the base. There is a swivel between the base and the camera that allows you to adjust the aiming of the camera, and you can zero right into your desired target and be sure that you get the picture that you want because the portable monitor is right there in your hand as you mount the camera and you can see the picture that the camera is sending.
