Thumbs up New Retro Art for Airstream

I 'discovered' a wonderful artist, Steve Cambronne, at the Denver Modernism Show several months ago and convinced him that his metal sculptures, if scaled down, would go great in a vintage or new retro Airstream (such as the CCD line). He and his wife decided to do just that and they are creating a line of cool wall decorations for us. They are 3 dimensional, composed of layered pieces of sheet metal, cut and painted to capture and evoke the nostalgia of the Atomic Fifties and Sixties. Check out his web page to see some examples : RV_STREAMERS_RETRO_METAL_ART_SCULPTURES

Forrest,
Way cool. I may have to order the Route 66 scuplture. Especially since our permanent site at Penn Wood Airstream park is right on Route 66, Pennsylvania Route 66 that is!

I bought one with a Route 66 motif while I was at the show. It will fit perfectly when attached to the end piece of the ceiling cabinet in my '66 Globe Trotter. When I get it up I'll post a photo.

Airstream Art Studio - Welcome Aboard!

Here is another AS artist's website who is currently busy with her craft. I originally came across her work on E-bay and purchased one of her AS portraits. It is my avitar (altho it is rather small to see! I have the larger version in my photos section) She does her work in her AS. Very nice.

I am also requesting a different color of blue - they aim to please! I have been wanting a clock in "Moonunit". Thanks for this post!!!

I wanted to bring back this thread since it is the "season for giving", and say, yippee, Mary is back at e-bay w/her Airstream art. We bought one very nice print (its my member picture) from her when she first started showing on e-bay and loved it. She does the prints and cards and starting bid is very reasonable. I love the retro art that started this thread too. Wish I had more wall space in our trailer Mary's e-bay name, if you become interested is Marmelis. Here is one of the prints of her Bambi she has listed right now... (woops hers is a Safari, not Bambi)
