Looks like a good idea. now, all they need to do is put a front and back on it a few inches tall, the you could put water hoses, sewer hoses, or whatnot there, and it would slide out for access. No more dragging stuff out of a hole. And with the front and back installed, things wouldn't geet trapped under the front after loading. Rubber mat instead of carpet might be good there, it will cut down on moisture.

the only problem with most of these wonderful convenience solutions is that you sacrifice too much space. With a 25' inches count, but it might be much more practical on a 34'. It looks like there's a good 2 to 3 inches UNDER that platform. I also agree you need sides to it.
It does have ME thinking about the outside door on my 25' FB SE... Hmmmmmm. if I could get some tracks that anchor flat against the bottom and a platform that just slides on ball bearings.... Hm, and I have an old file cabinet that is ready to be trashed. Gotta GO!

I have a 25'SS and have been checking out those but in a smaller size to fit under the bed inside the Airstream. You have to basically crawl in there to reach the back of it.
The factory is finally getting it! Just about every large MoHo and 5thg wheel that I work on has sliders in the storage bays. I have installed more than a few units for clients. These are made by a number of companies, Joey Bed & Kwikee come to mind first, but there are others.
Weight capacities vary, as do the height of the mechanisms, but they definitely improve the access to the back of the storage area.
Too bad my 19CCD only has the dog-leg cave at the back, or I'de have some on it as well!!
Nice idea, but the space lost on the sides and in because of the mechanism make it not really worth it. I use all of the space in the back for things I dont want inside. The hoses and such go underneath in the drawer.
Hi, I sort-of like the idea, but I would lower the slide-out to within maybe 1/4" of the door and lower the door closer to the trailer floor level. [Too much wasted space] And I would put a railing on the front and sides of the slide-out to keep things in place. Also put a hinged or removeable railing on the back of the slide-out. Same as Lewster, My Safari 25-B has an odd shaped storage compartment so this would not work on my trailer. And as Overlander63 said, depending on what you use that storage compartment for, you might want a rubber mat instead of carpet.
Most folks that have these (MoHos and 5th wheels) usually have their stuff in large Rubbermaid containers so they know what they have and where it is. This allows you to keep the compartments clean (all of them have been carpeted) and also allow you to utilize the entire height of the slide tray.

I don't know about other years or models, but our 2006 16' Bambi came with a collection of clear Sterilite containers that fit under our bed/rear storage. We keep most everything in them except the stuff that is 'use every time - first out, last in' (e.g. hoses, equal-i-zer pins).
