Hmm... AirstreamDreams had to change their URL because they didn't have approval to use the name IIRC. See this. AirstreamForums had to tie in and do a legal agreement with Jackson Center.

Best wishes though.

Perhaps an interesting line to carry in your store would be Airstream themed lingerie, nighties, Madonna style aluminum bras with rivets. Perhaps this would give women with Airstream obsessed hubbies a fighting chance for his affection

tehe

Airstream, Inc is active in protecting their trademarks and I would be careful and do your research about this idea. Look at the AirstreamDreams case sited above for more information...

yes, from what we have seen you would quickly get into a legal hassle with the mother ship. May not be worth all that hassle.

Story: (I'm full of 'em)

When I was in middle school, I recall the hot trend being Coca-Cola attire: sweatshirts, eyewear, hats, etc. My parents always made us earn our own money to buy the things we wanted - so my Coca-Cola wardrobe was limited.....actually, non-existant. I recall a simple sweatshirt in the hot trend cost about $45 - Yikes - that's a lot of roadside tomatos sold at .50/lb. One day at a Carnival craft-fair, flea market type thing I found myself a pair of Coca-Cola Sunglasses for $5. Ecstatic - I was finally cool (and a smart shopper) - and I paraded around with my glasses, proudly pulling my hair back to reveal the white logo written on the arm. The cute boy I was hangin' out with at the time admired them for a moment, obviously thinking I was cool......then said, "Uh, Dork - your glasses say Coco-Cola."

Are you feeling the possiblities?

hi lee...
good luck with your venture...
now for some reality...

the mothership has and is actively protecting their name, image, property and so on....

as you can read above...

there was also a company making gloves with the 'name' who felt the sting...

just this week a SOUTH AFRICAN company
making aerodynamic ear muffs
for winter biking (nothing to do with trailers)

announced they had changed their name from airstreamz....
to slipstreamz...
also the products and logos...

this product had been introduced nationally over a year ago...
so i can imagine they've been 'tied up' this last year,
with this process...
and learning all about our beloved trailer company...
read about them here...
http://www.slipstreamz.com/news.asp?upd=1&newsID=10
see under 'news' and 'read more section on the home page...
says june in the date but this happened in july...

and hotlava...you will note,
to even try googling their old name...airstreamz....
comes up with multiple...DEAD LINK$...

go ahead try it...

so just because you got the domains...
doesn't mean you will get to play in their domain!

i mentioned in the 'trip to international' thread
that the mother ship ---A1R$TR34M (limits search results spell'n this way)
is now licensing the name, images and so on....
to folks from all market segments....

like coffee......
http://www.silverjoes.com/
i don't have a bag handy...
but the coffee bag has an emblem stating...
'the offical coffee of airstream'

imagine the current phrase...
'see more do more live more'
becoming...
'see more do more live more, taste more, drink more, wear more...spend more..."

and as for selling 'stuff' with the name...
the mother ship already does this...
so it is unlikely they will let others do this...
perhaps bootlegged on ebay...
for a while...till they come for you!
so wake up and smell the coffee!

and keep us abreast of what happens...
i've got some cash for your bail...

cheers
