as you can read above...
there was also a company making gloves with the 'name' who felt the sting...
just this week a SOUTH AFRICAN company
making aerodynamic ear muffs
for winter biking (nothing to do with trailers)
announced they had changed their name from airstreamz....
to slipstreamz...
also the products and logos...
this product had been introduced nationally over a year ago...
so i can imagine they've been 'tied up' this last year,
with this process...
and learning all about our beloved trailer company...
read about them here...
http://www.slipstreamz.com/news.asp?upd=1&newsID=10
see under 'news' and 'read more section on the home page...
says june in the date but this happened in july...
and hotlava...you will note,
to even try googling their old name...airstreamz....
comes up with multiple...DEAD LINK$...
go ahead try it...
so just because you got the domains...
doesn't mean you will get to play in their domain!
i mentioned in the 'trip to international' thread
that the mother ship ---A1R$TR34M (limits search results spell'n this way)
is now licensing the name, images and so on....
to folks from all market segments....
like coffee......
http://www.silverjoes.com/
i don't have a bag handy...
but the coffee bag has an emblem stating...
'the offical coffee of airstream'
imagine the current phrase...
'see more do more live more'
becoming...
'see more do more live more, taste more, drink more, wear more...spend more..."
and as for selling 'stuff' with the name...
the mother ship already does this...
so it is unlikely they will let others do this...
perhaps bootlegged on ebay...
for a while...till they come for you!
so wake up and smell the coffee!
and keep us abreast of what happens...
i've got some cash for your bail...
cheers
