No, they did. I downloaded the PDFs, which was the purpose of the form.
I have no problem with airstream having my address to send updates, etc., which is why I never though twice about filling out the form. They have my contact info from other sources (i.e. their email newsletter) and I've never received unsolicited marketing before. But third party vendors are most definitely partners; they are in no way a division/subsidiary/etc of airstream. By their own wording, they had no right to use my contact info for any purpose other than their internal marketing, etc.
That's a really good idea about the middle initial. I have my own domain name, and therefore have a "catchall" box, so I usually would fill out a form with the org's name in the email dress, like "airstream@mydomain.com". That way, when I receive spam, it has the name of who it's coming from in the address. But I didn't really worry about it with airstream, because I've never had that issue with them before.
